Women should always be aware of their surroundings and be on their guard especially when traveling along. A self defense class can heighten your safety awareness level and build skill and confidence. You can also incorporate the use of a personal safety device such as pepper sprays which can be used at a safe distance, but like any tool you should learn how to use it.
In using personal safety devices to ward off attackers we must be knowledgeable in the proper way to use them. Going places in groups usually works for safety, but can’t always be done. Women should always be prepared to ward off attackers by any means necessary; we must stay calm and use what ever skills, knowledge gained through training or self defense products. You may need to attend a self defense classes more than once or continually practice techniques learned in these classes. But having pepper sprays or a taser can be used at an eight to fifteen foot distance keeping your assailant from getting close.

Good for Colorado State University for taking steps to make their students feel safe on campus. There are many students away from home for the first time particularly the females, that carrying a non-lethal weapon such as stun guns or will give them peace of mind. Women can now feel safer walking to their cars at night thanks to new and exciting technology. A cleverly disguised stun gun in the shape of a cell phone is a great way to surprise an attacker. If you travel alone, live alone, hike alone, or just like to be alone in solitary places, you probably need some self-protection. If you practice pepper spray safety, and also practice fending off an attacker using your pepper spray to strike from a distance, you have done a good deal to be that much safer in an unpredictable world.
